I am currently in my final year of the MA program in History at the College of Charleston, where I first became involved with digital humanities. I have worked at the Lowcountry Digital History Initiative since May, providing design and editorial assistance on two exhibitions that are currently public and three forthcoming. I have gained experience using the Omeka platform and the Neatline plug-in. I have also worked with the Lowcountry Digital Library, writing metadata for items related to the Confederate submarine H.L. Hunley. Prior to graduate school, I taught social studies at the middle school level for two years, where I employed smart board technology in my daily lessons.
