I am a food historian of the 19th century South and Atlantic World. I am a PhD Lab Scholar at Duke University and a HASTAC scholar. In terms of digital pedagogy, I've experimented with Google Drive and Twitter in the classroom. In terms of digital media, I am an oral historian for the Southern Foodways Alliance and collaborated with them on the Carrboro Farmers' Market Oral History Project. For this project we used flickr, broadcastr, twitter, facebook, etc. to communicate with broader American audiences.
